Levels are the basis of power and status in a world overrun by grotesque monsters. The wealthy and renowned climb the ranks while the weak remain at the bottom. Alca was trapped in this lowly position, dubbed a "corpse scrapper" for his inability to level up, and shunned by society. But fate intervened when he acquired the coveted "Abyss Armor," a suit of calamitous armor. With the "Abyss Armor," Alca gains the ability to use "Level Drain," which allows him to absorb the levels of those he kills. He quickly rises as an adventurer, conquering both humans and monsters. However, his path to ultimate power is hindered by powerful foes such as dragons and the elite natural disaster class adventurers. Yet, nothing can stop Alca from rising to become the most powerful being in the world. He relentlessly absorbs levels and becomes the hero of his own story, transforming from a lowly black knight to a champion who takes from those above him.
